i am not sure if this is what u want but here is something
Jon Graham, creator of various Machinima, uses Dazzle Digital Video Creator. It’s a “cap” you put on your AV cable that can directly record the image you see on tv in various formats. Go to Theater, and view your videos with Dazzle on. Voila!
